Windows 10 & 11 · 64-bit · Free

Your music.
Your YouTube.
One player.

Suura plays the files you already own and the links you paste in — one library, one queue, one search box.

Open source under MIT. No account, no telemetry.

Why Suura

A player, not a platform.

No feed to scroll, no recommendations to train, no account to create. Open it, find your music, press play.

One library

Index the folders you choose, with tags, embedded artwork and lyrics. Sort, search and jump back into anything you have played before.

YouTube, when you want it

Paste a video, playlist, album or mix and play it immediately through yt-dlp. Streaming is the default; saving is a choice you make.

A queue that survives

Close the window and the queue is still there. A mini player, tray controls and media keys keep the music within reach.

Sound, tuned

A 10-band equalizer with presets, ReplayGain volume normalization and gapless playback, without a plugin in sight.

Nothing phones home

No account, no analytics, no background uploads. Crash reports are local, opt-in and off by default.

Yours to keep

Your files are never moved, renamed or uploaded. Cache a stream or save a track only when you ask, in the format you pick.

Get Suura

Free and open source, for Windows 10 and 11 on 64-bit. It installs for your user only, so there is no administrator prompt.

This file is served from Suura's own mirror; the identical installer is also on GitHub Releases.

Early pre-release: behaviour and the database schema may change between minor versions. An upgrade keeps your library.

  1. Run the installer

It installs to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Suura and adds a Start-menu shortcut.

  2. Expect SmartScreen

The build is not code-signed yet. Choose More info → Run anyway.

  3. Verify if you like

Compare the file with the published checksum:

    Get-FileHash .\Suura-*-Setup.exe -Algorithm SHA256
